Epicenter was launched in 2008, but began as a seed in the early 2000’s. Our small band of coffee enthusiasts were energized but left with few options for great coffee in the Bay Area. Inspired by copious coffee sampling in Northern Italy and the Pacific Northwest, we launched Epicenter as a place of refuge in the rapidly changing and developing landscape South of Market Street.
We have set out to create a café in the European tradition, with beverages and fare available from early to late. Over time, we have expanded our food, beer and wine programs and are pushing harder and harder towards sustainable and organic offerings across our entire menu.
We hope to continue to add to the texture of a rapidly changing and developing San Francisco community.
